Help Research, Document and Preserve Your State’s Baton Twirling History
The Baton Twirling Preservation Society is looking for volunteers from across the country to help preserve and document the history of baton twirling — one state at a time.
What Does a Twirling Historian Do?
Twirling Historians will help uncover the people, places, photographs and stories that shaped baton twirling in their states. That might mean interviewing a former majorette, researching a long-forgotten twirling corps, identifying people in an old photograph, finding newspaper clippings, documenting a college tradition or simply helping make sure an important story isn’t lost.
No professional research experience is required. We’re looking for people who are curious, enthusiastic about twirling history and willing to do a little digging.
