Dec. 16, 1931 – Dec. 28, 2024

The world lost another angel on Saturday December 28th, as Diana B. Koczon was called back home. She was a vibrant spirit involved in several community organizations. She was named Citizen of the Year in 1991 and in 2019 by the Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce. Diana was a member of the Girls Scouts of America, the Cheektowaga Garden Club, the Cultural Society the Historical Association, Patriot Committee, Daffodils for Cancer, but her most rewarding project was The Spirit of Sharing Dinner which was held annually. She was invited to Washington DC by the Honorable Henry Nowak and was presented with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for her outstanding service to the community. She was a member of the Buffalo and Genesse Button Clubs, New York State and National Button Societies. Diana had many collections of varying subjects, but her favorite collection was her buttons. She also volunteered for SABAH, First Night Buffalo and spent many years with the Twin Ton-Etttes Baton and Drum Corp. Between her community volunteer efforts, she worked at Center Stage Dance Studio for over 25 years. And we can’t forget, she baked the best apple pie ever. She is survived by her daughters, Monica (John Weatherby) Koczon, Diana (Scott) Seifert and a son George Koczon, She is also survived by her grandchildren Dillon (Casey) Davis, Brandon Seifert and Brooke Seifert. She was predeceased by her husband George and was one of 11 siblings.
