Shirley Skriven, 15, National high school baton twirling champion for two years, and Pat Pontius, 14, soloist visit the Illinois State Exhibit at the World’s Fair of 1940 in New York and are registered by Francis G. Power, the director. The girls previously appeared with teh Morgan Park High School Band of Beverly Hills, Chicago, in a concert at the Court of Sports.
