Madden’s Majorettes and Drum Major  

Ann Dinwiddie Madden is a photographer and mixed media artist whose work gives new life to vintage photographs. Using collage, paint, and found materials, she creates one-of-a-kind pieces that honor the people and stories captured in old images. Her work celebrates memory, history, and the emotional connection we feel to photographs from another era.

Among Madden’s pieces are some beautiful mixed media majorette and drum major pieces. One was created for a silent auction and another as a private Christmas commission. There are several featured on her Instagram and I found them all to be completely mesmerizing and delightful. I would love to own one of these, especially the one of the majorette with the neon pink pom poms. 

I am so amazed by what some people are able to create.
