AYOP 2023 | Miss Majorette of America | (Notre Dame, Indiana)

AYOP 2023 (American Youth on Parade) is the largest baton twirling competition in the United States of America. It was started by Don Sartel, founder of the National Baton Twirling Association, in 1966. It comprises four separate events in 2023, including:

• 76th Annual Miss Majorette of America pageant
• 71st Annual National Majorette Contest
• 42nd Annual Collegiate Championship
• Corps and Teams of America Championships

AYOP is held at the University of Notre Dame, South Bend Indiana. Here is an excerpt from batontwirling.com:

There’s no twirling spectacular quite like AYOP.  It brings together the best baton twirlers, teams and corps in the world for a series of National and World Open Championship contests – all under one umbrella.  It can be appropriately called the “World Series of Baton Twirling.”   AYOP events are held in the spacious, air conditioned Notre Dame University Athletic and Convocation Center (JACC) and are sanctioned by the NBTA INTERNATIONAL.
