Majorette on Horseback (1950s)

A majorette on horseback twirls her baton while decked out in a military style majorette uniform including a shako hat. In Don Sartell’s book, History of Twirling, he writes about twirling on horseback during his years living on an army installation in (I think!) Muskogee, Oklahoma. I will have to double check that. At the moment, I can’t put my hands on his book, which I highly recommend, by the way. It’s a wonderful history of twirling but also a terrific memoir by an amazing man.
